A question from “al-Awwab”:
“Will the door of repentance be eternally closed when the sun rises from the west?”
In the name of Allaah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful:
{هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا أَن تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ لَا يَنفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِن قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا قُلِ انتَظِرُوا إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ} صدق الله العظيم [الأنعام:١٥٨].
Surah: al-An’aam—Verse: 158
O my friend, al-Awwab, Do you see in the Quran that when the torment comes, the belief of the disbelievers shall benefit them when they see it? Therefore, no self will benefit from attaining faith when the torment takes place and that is why I taught people— when their heedlessness continues until they witness the painful torment— to supplicate to their Lord and ask Him by virtue of the fact of His mercy which He decreed upon Himself and by virtue of the fact that there is no God but Him and by virtue of the fact of the greatness of His pleasure within which He decreed upon Himself to remove the torment from upon them. Subsequently, they change with it Allaah's practice in the matter of those who have gone before them; and Allaah removes the torment from upon them, O al-Awwab, my friend, and the companion of al-Mahdi. On the other hand, sunrise from the west is of the mighty signs of the Hour accompanied by a great torment; may Allaah protect us from its evil and save us by His mercy, indeed He does not break His promise verily the mercy of Allaah encompasses everything
O al-Awwab, I hope you will deliver the greetings of the awaited Mahdi to my friends in Egypt
